[Review] Glitzywonderland and Infanta’s Disney Snow White OP

This January I had some spare money and I finally ordered a dress I was pining over for months: the Disney Snow White OP from chinese Lolita brand Infanta. I made my purchase through Glitzy Wonderland, a Taobao reseller who conveniently offers free shipping and occasional discounts.

Glitzy Wonderland

Here’s the timeline of my order:
  • 23/01/2014 I purchased the dress through Glitzy’s site using their easy-to-follow cart system. Soon after, I received the invoice, paid and the customer service contacted me confirming my order.
  • 25/01/2014 I received another mail stating that they would send me the tracking number after the shipping occured.
  • 30/01/2014 A few days later I was still waiting for the tracking code, so I contacted Glitzy’s customer service.
  • 01/02/2014 They replied with the tracking code and a reassurance that my dress had been shipped on the 29th and was on his way to Italy.
  • 06/02/2014 Even if the dress was shipped with Airmail I was pleasantly surprised to receive it only a week later. Without customs! Yay~

I wasn't at home when the dress came so I don't have any picture of the packaging.

Infanta's OP

Now onto the dress! This is my first purchase from Infanta and I’m very happy with it. The OP looks as beautiful as in the stock photos, it’s pretty well made and the fabric is soft and comfortable. It’s fully lined too.

Back
The bodice is well fitted thanks to the plastic boning on the waist, the size can also be adjusted using the ribbons in the back. The buttons are heart shaped and give a really cute finish – unfortunately they’re useless since the dress has a lateral zip, but they’re pretty~ The velvet used is luxurious and soft to the touch, just like the delicate lace, while the gold ribbon is sturdy and crisp. My only complaint is the too visible stitching attaching the ribbon to the bodice, it seems hurried and not finished: a true disappointment.

The bottom is made of three layers: the lining, the actual skirt and a flowy chiffon overskirt. The ribbons on the front are of the same material of the gold one (but they’re better stitched) and the ruffles are neatly made. The skirt is wide and can hold a decent amount of petticoat.

With the dress came a red rose corsage. It seems pretty sturdy but a little fake looking.

Concluding...

Glitzy Wonderland: 4.5/5. The transaction went smoothly and the shipping was super fast, but they forgot to email me when the dress was shipped, giving me a mini heart attack >.<

Dress quality: 4/5. The OP is really beautiful and it matches perfectly the stock photos, but some of the stitching is rushed and the flower corsage seems a bit fake.

Overall I had a very good experience with both Glitzy Wonderland and Infanta and I absolutely recommend them!

I expect to put together an outfit with this dress very soon and I'll make sure to post the results. In the meantime, have a lovely day~
